Every year in September, the European Heritage Days take place across Europe (see the list of countries involved). During this period, the doors of many monuments and sites are opened, allowing European citizens to enjoy free visits and learn about their shared cultural heritage.
For its 41st edition, the European Heritage Days 🇪🇺 will be held on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2024, under the theme "the heritage of routes, networks and connections and maritime heritage". The aim of these days is to show as many people as possible the extraordinary wealth of our heritage through original events, unusual visits and exceptional openings. 🏛️🎨
It's the perfect opportunity for exchange students from participating countries to visit many buildings and museums, which will be changing their offer and even their prices (reduced or free) for the occasion. Or to discover other places that are often only exceptionally open to the public.
