To celebrate the arrival of autumn 🍂, we're heading to Canada and its beautiful, shimmering landscapes with Gaëlle, a Geography student who went to do her third year of her degree at Laval University in Quebec 🇨🇦🍁. Here's her testimony of her Canadian experience:
Spending a semester at Laval University in Quebec was an incredibly enriching experience. Doing it during the first semester of my last year of bachelor's degree was the perfect time for me. Quebec is a great province to live in, and it was a truly memorable experience.
Academically 📚, the courses are taught in a very pedagogical way that is different from what I had experienced in France, which enabled me to appreciate and get the most out of each lesson. Apart from the courses, this stay was a real opportunity to discover the world 🌎 and meet new people. I was able to make many new friends.
It also gave me the chance to travel around North America, particularly New York 🇺🇸 🗽, which added an exciting dimension to my experience. In addition, having this semester abroad in my file was an asset when I was interviewing for a Master's degree, because it's quite attractive to recruiters.
To sum up, my time at the Université Laval was the experience of a lifetime, combining academic learning, cultural discoveries and human encounters. I'd highly recommend it to anyone lucky enough to experience such an adventure. I hope you will discover the land of the Caribou! 🦌
