Elisa is a student at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in Germany 🇩🇪 and chose Caen for her Erasmus+ mobility. She shares her experience with us.

"I decided to spend two semesters of my linguistics Master's degree in France and I chose Caen for its mild climate and the University for its international ranking. Did you know that the University's symbol is the phoenix? It makes you feel a bit like you're at Hogwarts.

Right from the start, I noticed the support and kindness of the people at the University.

Whether it was lessons or sports activities, I always felt taken under the wing of the whole team.

When I arrived in France, I was completely overwhelmed because the French education system was brand new to me and getting used to it was my biggest challenge. Thanks to the University staff and teachers, I quickly found my place and I'm so happy to be here that I've even decided to stay in France and find a job there after my studies.

Thanks to the 'Speak 14' project, which is offered to foreign students, I'm already working in a French school to apply what I'm learning at university to become a teacher.
